How to Correct Errors In COVID-19 Vaccine Certificate on COWIN

When you taking both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in India afterwards the  government issues a vaccine certificate that act as an official document that  you have been vaccinated When you get the first dose of vaccine then you got receive a provisional vaccine certificate & After given time interval once you receive the second dose of vaccine then you are provided with a final vaccine  certificate. In theses certificates have a unique 13-digit beneficiary  reference ID through which you can access all your vaccine details such as  date of vaccinated, name of the vaccine, name of the health official who vaccinated you and place of Vaccination. But If in case your vaccine  certificate is showing errors in your like name, birth detail, gender or photo ID number then you can now edit the certificate which is showing errors and download a new one. Earlier there was not possible to edit the certificate for errors correction, But now the Government has released needed feature on the COWIN website.However,you are allowed to edit only once.So you make sure before enter right details for correction,after once edit submit your old certificate will be deleted & you will be issued a revised final vaccine certificate.Lets you edit your vaccine certificate by following steps :


1.Open cowin.gov.in and tap Register/sign in yourself at the top right corner.

2.Now enter your the mobile number that you are given to register for vaccination and tap Get  OTP.

3.Enter the OTP you have received in your mobile and tap Verify and then  next to proceed. Then, tap Raise an issue option at the top =>select the member => choose Correction in certificate.

4.Now Under self-correction you can choose the details that you want to edit on your Vaccine Certificate. But you can edit only two things out of  your name, date of birth, gender and Aadhaar Card   Number/PAN Card/Passport Number.

5.Now ,Enter the correct information => tap Continue => tap Submit.
