As per source  Satoshi Nakamoto is the name associated with the person or group of people who  released the original bitcoin whitepaper in 2008 and worked on the original bitcoin software that was released in 2009.There is no physical bitcoin, only  balances kept on a public ledger that everyone has transparent access to. All  bitcoin transactions are verified by a  computing power. Bitcoin is not issued  by governments or banks & also it is not being legal tender in most parts of  the world, bitcoin is very popular and has triggered the launch of other  cryptocurrencies.Bitcoin offers the promise of lower transaction fees than  traditional online payment mechanisms and, unlike government-issued  currencies.Bitcoin is operated by a decentralized authority. Unlike fiat  currency, bitcoin is created, distributed, traded, and stored with the use of  a decentralized ledger system, known as a block chain. As the earliest virtual  currency to meet widespread popularity and success, bitcoin has inspired a  host of other cryptocurrencies in its wake.Bitcoin is one of the first digital  currencies to use peer-to-peer technology to facilitate instant payments Which  is based on Block chain. Most individuals who use bitcoin have not acquired their tokens through mining operations, mostly they buy and sell bitcoin and other digital currencies on  any of the popular online markets which is called bitcoin exchanges or cryptocurrency exchanges.Bitcoin exchanges are entirely digital and virtual  system.Bitcoin is technology-based, which leaves this investment open to cyber attacks and hacking is a serious risk, since there is no way to retrieve your lost or stolen bitcoins.
